What is ticket resale?

Ticket resale means selling a ticket on after the original purchase. Uncontrolled resale leads to overpricing, fraud and disappointed customers.

When a ticket is just a static QR code, it can be sold on or shared with anyone without the organizer's knowledge. This enables scalping and scams, especially for sold-out events.

The fix is to make tickets hard to copy and to provide a controlled way to transfer a ticket. In Lippunet's secure wallet, tickets are bound to named attendees and transfers happen, tracked, inside the wallet — cutting off anonymous resale.

Frequently asked questions

Can tickets still be transferred to a friend?

Yes. Transfers happen in a controlled, tracked way inside the wallet, so you can pass a ticket on without opening the door to anonymous resale.

How can resale be prevented?

Dynamic QR codes, named attendees and tracked transfers make tickets hard to copy and resell.
